Alberto Daina is a graduate in Economics and Business Studies from the Università Cattolica in Milan. Since 1993, he has worked between Milan and London at Banca Akros, at Caboto and then at Abaxbank with managerial roles in the Equity & Debt Capital Market sectors.
His in-depth experience in the field of stock exchange placements (“Small & Mid-Caps”) and Financial Advisory for M&A transactions; forging strong collaborative relationships with principal Italian and International Private Equity players.
Between 2009 and 2011, he was tasked with managing the Corporate Portfolio of Banca MB Spa, a private merchant bank based in Milan, in Extraordinary Administration as per the directives of the Commissioners of the Banca d’ Italia. During this period he was responsible for managing the loans given by the bank to corporate clients as part of a thorough restoration of the portfolio in accordance with the directives of the Supervisory Body, aimed at protecting current account holders, the social partners and the clients to whom loans have been extended.
Once the procedure had concluded in 2011, he decided to start up a new entrepreneurial project in financial advisory, ending up in the incorporation Movent.
Alberto Franchino is an honours graduate in Corporate Economics from the Università Luigi Bocconi in Milan. In 1987, he first worked with Arthur Andersen & Co. (audit) and then Arca Merchant (merchant bank controlled by the Italian cooperative banks) where, from 1989 to 1995, he worked as a financial analyst and then as M&A manager.
After an experience as Chief Financial Officer of a chemical company, he took part in 1997 in the creation of the private equity division of Interbanca, a merchant bank listed on the stock exchange, where he managed various transactions and acted as a member of the board of directors in the companies invested in.
In 2002 he took part in the start-up of Industria & Finanza SGR, a management company promoted by the Investimenti e Partecipazioni family office (Denegri group), who through the “IF Investimenti” fund carried out various investment transactions (both majority and minority shareholdings). In 2013, he joined the board of directors of Investimenti e Partecipazioni as Senior Advisor for the search and management of investment opportunities.
In 2017 he joined Movent as Managing Partner.
Dario Orbelli Biroli
A graduate in Economics and Business Services from the Università di Pavia, Dario Orbelli Biroli began his career at Credito Italiano in 1973 and then, at the bank– at the bank that later became Unicredit –, he accumulated experience in the credit sector filling roles of increasing levels of responsibility in Client Management, Credit Disbursement, and Risk Management departments.
Once his experience at Unicredit as Manager of the Rating Desk for corporate clients came to an end, he was called in 2009 to work with Banca MB as a consultant for the reorganization of the Loans Area and was later confirmed as responsible of the Department by the Extraordinary Commissioners of Banca d’ Italia and finally as consultant to the Liquidator (nominated by the Court) of the said bank.
Following the incorporation of Movent Capital Advisors, he took part in the project adding his capabilities and experience as Senior Advisor for Corporate Finance and Debt Advisory transactions.
A graduate in Law in 1977, with a managerial career spanning forty years, Gualtiero Marcobi has accumulated significant experience in the industrial field as head of production, operations, human resources, and finally as Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors in leading companies and industrial groups in the textile, engineering, chemical and food sectors.
Since 2010 he has been a partner in Milan firms, bringing his professionalism and experience in bankruptcy law, setting out industrial plans, attestations with specific reference to restoration plans (pursuant to art. 67 bankruptcy law), restructuring agreements and pre-bankruptcy composition with creditors.
He is a Movent advisor – mainly carrying out professional activities in the field of managing corporate crises with the role of Chief Restructuring Officer, lending his professionalism and experience working directly in client companies.
